as for Picture Profiles, for the more baked-in flavors, you can import a LUT onto the FX3 (if it works) and then, when you go to PP Select, scroll down to PPLUT1-4 to load user LUTs that you've imported, and they'll be baked into the footage. So seems a little gimmicky if certain LUTs don't work on the FX3 that are ambassador luts on Sony's own page.īut yurr, idk, am new to this noise, but wanted to share that Alistair Chapman tutorial coz the title really doesn't do it justice how comprehensive it is. But seems there's no consensus on what makes it not work, beyond vague, the LUT is too hidef (33 smaller than 64 bit or something?), but unsure how to tell that, excepting when it's in the name of the LUT. I go the Jenny's LUT Collection to work on the Ninja V, but still Getting "File Cannot be loaded," on the FX3. Note both zebras and waveforms are effected by whatver "MON:" Display type you select. Then you can set exposure per the recommended standards for whatever "MON:" you are using (PQ, HLG, LUT, etc) using waveforms, or Zebras. Then activate it on your ninja v device in the Activation tab. Use AID (activation ID, using Activation/INFO tabs on the ninja V) to activate tokens, download the token file and xfer onto the minissd that basically combines licenses like an iLok in audio production. For Example, MON: PQ uses Nits, and 100 nits is a whitecard, skintones: 45 nits.Ĭustom LUTs use a waveform of 0-100% Exposure and vary from LUT to LUT. Each of the Monitoring views have their own standard of measuring. Note the LUT will change the waveform display. Then Display the lut, (instead of "Native" or "Log" view, it will be "Mon:LUT#") Then open the luts by picking one of the 8 slots and loading it there. You can also download and add custom Luts from Sony or other custom luts onto the minissd (create a folder, "LUTs").
